Mashable has a post up about the most popular twitter clients according to TwitStat.

I’m not surprised by many of the notable entries on this list, such as TweetDeck.   I use it regularly at work and load it up occasionally on my Mac, but like most AIR applications it is a resource hog and doesn’t integrate well into the rest of the desktop experience (growl support, please?).

I would like to see my favorite iPhone client, Twittelator, make the list someday.  Much like TweetDeck, it allows for a number of search combinations as well as an incredibly useful feature of “show reply thread” so you can see the original tweets that led up to that unusual comment that you saw in your stream.

Nambu is my current desktop client for the Mac just because of its simplicity and support of URL shortening (an absolute MUST in current Twitter apps).  I’d move to a port of Twittelator or a TweetDeck like native client quite quickly if it became available?  Anyone?

I’d be interested in hearing your opinion on your favorite Twitter app (especially mobile and OS X native).  Are there better solutions for a Mac user?  I’m sure the options are as divese as the userbase, but all opinions are valid and all options are open.  Please let me know your favorites in the comments below!
